Kawartha Lakes Wedding Photographer
Wedding Photography · Kawartha Lakes & Beyond

The day goes fast. Let's make sure it doesn't disappear.

I'm Evan — I photograph weddings across the Kawarthas and beyond, the way they actually happened: the nervous laugh before you walk out, the toast that goes sideways in the best way, the two of you finally alone for five minutes. Real day, real light, really you.

How I Shoot

Close enough to catch it, far enough to let it happen

I'm not going to stage a big kiss-for-the-camera moment or spend twenty minutes on a Pinterest pose. I'd rather hang back, stay ready, and catch the day while it's actually happening — the real laugh, not the practiced one.

Based in Kawartha Lakes, and just as at home shooting a beach ceremony in Costa Rica, a courtyard in Mexico, or a farm in Newfoundland. Different light every time. Same instinct: stay out of the way until the moment needs someone there to catch it.

Questions

Before you reach out

How far will you travel?+

Anywhere in the Kawarthas, Peterborough, Durham, or Barrie without a travel fee. Further than that — including destination weddings — just ask. I've shot in Costa Rica and Mexico and I'm always up for it if the timing works.

Do you do elopements or micro-weddings?+

Yes — shorter coverage, smaller price, same attention. A lot of my favourite days have been the small ones.

What if it rains, or your gear fails?+

I shoot with weather-sealed bodies and lenses, and backup SD cards on every wedding, and weather has never once cancelled a day — just changed the plan. Rain makes for some of the best photos, honestly.

How far in advance should we book?+

As soon as you have a date and venue. Popular Saturdays in peak season (June–October) go first, but if you're reading this and your date's soon, reach out anyway — worth a quick check.

How many photos do we get, and how long until delivery?+

Expect several hundred fully edited images from a full day, delivered as an online gallery you can download and share. Typical turnaround is a few weeks — I'll give you an exact timeline when we talk.
